The Australian National Boxing Federation (ANBF) is the peak national body for professional boxing in Australia, the official sanctioning body for the Australian title and the official compiler of the Australian ratings.
The ANBF is committed to supporting professional boxing in Australia and actively works with all stakeholders in the industry to afford the best talent in Australia opportunities to contest State, Australian and Australasian titles.
The ANBF is affiliated with the World Boxing Council (WBC) and its ratings are used by the Commonwealth Boxing Council (CBC) and the Oriental Pacific Boxing Federation (OPBF) to establish contenders for their respective titles.
The Australian government recognises the ANBF as the peak national body for the sport of professional boxing in Australia. As the peak national body, the ANBF is able to provide a letter of endorsement to the Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP) in support of visa applications if the applicant has the ability to compete at a national level and will benefit the sport in Australia through their participation in the sport.
