Vacant Womens Australian Super Featherweight Title

VACANT WOMEN’S AUSTRALIAN SUPER FEATHERWEIGHT TITLE 2ND NOVEMBER 2024  NEX CLUB NEWCASTLE

A very excited crowd packed the venue. The event was run very smoothly and provided entertainment throughout the night with the fighters receiving plenty of support.

Local fighter Pam McClelland and Sacha Ryan from the Sunshine Coast competed for the Title. Both boxers made weight and were ready for the fight. Southpaw McClelland started the bout confidently with Ryan defending but there was not much action during the first couple of rounds. As the fight progressed McClelland became the more dominating fighter. Both girls kept referee Dean Cambridge busy breaking clinches throughout the fight, even issuing a warning. All three judges awarded two rounds to Ryan and the balance to McClelland.

Both girls were emotionally waiting for the announcement of the winner. Ryan acknowledged the result and assisted with placing the belt around McClelland to the applause of the crowd.
