The ANBF Light Heavyweight Title between Clay Waterman and Mark Lucas was off to a busy beginning with no bother to warm up the Boxers were both into action from the initial Bell, however Waterman was in charge from the outset and took control.The action continued in each round with Waterman dictating terms as he had from the beginning and was taking more control each round. This continued until the 4 Th Round when Lucas who was under heavy pressure from the Queensland Boxer and the corner threw in the towel signalling he had absorbed enough. At the time of the stoppage 2 of the Judges had Waterman in the lead.
This declared Clay Waterman winner and New Australian National Boxing Federation Light Heavyweight Champion.
