Justis Huni vs Paul Gallen – Australian Heavyweight Title
Heavyweight sensation Justis Huni has made a successful third defence of his Australian Heavyweight title with a final round stoppage over a very tough Paul Gallen.
Ten rounds of action with both boxers showing courage and determination throughout the contest.
Huni led the assault right from the start – reportedly damaging Gallen’s ribs in the second round.
Huni proved to be too strong, delivering scoring punches to Gallen’s head and body. The referee warned Huni for a low blow in the fifth and had to stop the fight twice for loose tape on his gloves. Gallen’s courage and heart kept him going but it wasn’t enough with the referee stopping the action in 1.18 of the final round – Huni retaining his Australian Title.
