Jesse Bolt – New Australian Lightweight King!

Vacant ANBF Men’s Australian Lightweight Title.

Jesse Bolt v Ziyee Lee.

Detonation Boxing, Melbourne Pavilion, 1 August 2026.

There was great anticipation on this championship fight and the fight delivered and more.
The fight was fought at a tremendous pace with Jesse, from the outset, moving forward with
clean and power punches, and with Ziyee responding almost one for one with clean and
power punches. This continued into round 2 where the quality of punches, fitness and
resilience of both boxers had everyone in the room appreciate that this was a special
championship fight. The third round saw Jesse slow down slightly and with Ziyee starting to
be more of the aggressor. But Jesse would tally when needed. Round four was similar but
with the number of punches landed starting to slightly favour Jesse as Jesse started to gain
the ascendency. This continued into round 5 with Ziyee’s left eye closing and bruised, and
while Ziyee continued to score cleanly on numerous occasions, Jesse started to take control
with his continued forward movement with clean and power punching. The sixth round saw
Ziyee take an 8 count and with Jesse finally winning by TKO. This was a fight of the highest
calibre and showed the quality and character of both boxers. We congratulate Jeese on
becoming the ANBF Men’s Australian Lightweight Champion.’
