In a huge Promotion at the Star in Sydney on Wednesday 15 May 2019 promoted by Matt Rose the Australian National Boxing Federation Super Welterweight Title changed hands. The defending Champion Joel Camilleri lost on a unanimous decision to Sydney based Tim Tszyu. This was a very strong display by Tszyu against the Champion who was defending for the first time. Camilleri who is an awkward customer was in excellent condition as was challenger Tszyu.
The Bout was an all action one with both Boxers in top condition and at the end of the 10 rounds both boys could have continued. As we have grown to expect form our Boxers they spoke well of each other in interviews at the conclusion.
This was a decisive unanimous points win for the new Champion Tszyu and it is to be hoped that he continues with several defences in the near future.
