The opening round had Goodman landing strong jabs to his opponent’s head with Beachamp responding and holding on to Goodman. Goodman continued his assault in the following rounds with Beauchamp advancing courageously but unable to counterpunch efficiently. The referee stopped the fight in favour of Goodman in 1.17 of round 6 – Goodman the new ANBF Australasian Featherweight Champion.
