On 7th April 2018 the ANBF Cruiserweight title became vacant when the ANBF Cruiserweight champion Jai Opetaia competed (and won) the WBO Asia Pacific Cruiserweight title.
Accordingly under Rule 75 of the ANBF Rules & regulations, a “Registration of Interest Period” will commence on Monday 9th April 2018 during which time interested promoters / managers may lodge a “Registrations of Interest” with the ANBF National Secretary of the boxer or boxers they wish to be considered to compete for the vacant Australian Cruiserweight Title. The Registration of Interest Period is 7 days and will conclude at the close of business on Monday 16th April 2018. It is expected that any applications provided are done so with the knowledge and consent on the boxers nominated.
The ANBF cannot consider any application until the Registration of Interest Period has expired.
