1 night, 3 ANBF Championship fights

Saturday 27th July we had 3 ANBF Championship fights on.

Two in Melbourne and one in Sydney.

At Luna Park in Sydney, 2016 Rio Olympian and arguably one of Australia’s best prospects, Daniel Lewis fought 25 fight veteran Wade Ryan for the vacant Australian Super Welteright title. Ryan has always proved a tough customer and went the distance with Tim Tszyu over ten rounds in 2017. In only Lewis’ third bout, he claimed the title with a Unanimous Decision.

At Malverns Town Hall, Two Australasian titles were contested.

At Welterwight over ten rounds, Queenslander and current Welterweight Champ Ben Kite travelled to Adam Kaoullas’ backyard in his first defence. In what was a tough fight for both, Kite secured the unanimous decision victory to travel home with the belt.

In the main event over 8 rounds, Victorian Kayne Clarke defeated New Zealander Shiva Mishra via 7th round TKO to secure the vacant Australasian Lightweight title.
