Donald Jones (champion) v Luke Scullion (challenger).
Detonation Boxing, Melbourne Pavilion, 1 August 2026.

The fight started with Donald moving forward with punches to the head and body which hasd
the effect of neutralising the height and reach of Luke. Luke started slower and with caution,
moving well with a focus on defence. Luke started to increase his work rate in Round 3 and
caught Donald a number of times, but with Donald continuing his relentless moving forward
and punching. A flurry of punches by Donald had Luke take an 8 count, after which Luke
recovered and resumed his work rate. The pace of the fight was extremely taxing on both
boxers, and through the fight the fitness of both boxers was clear over the 10 rounds. The
relentless pace and punching aggression of Donald enabled him to continue winning rounds
from the middle of the fight onwards. After a very tough 10 rounds of boxing, Donald Jones
was declared the winner by unanimous decision (100/89, 99,90, 97/92). We congratulate
Donald on his performance and on his successful first defence of the ANBF Men’s Australian
Super-Middleweight title.
