VACANT  ANBF  MEN’S AUSTRALIAN BANTAMWEIGHT TITLE

ARENA SPORTS CLUB, YAGOONA – 28TH MARCH 2026

EMMANUEL SHEMEZA V PATRICK LILLY

Promoter Paul Nasari had a packed house at the Arena Sports Club in Yagoona on 28th March 2026.

Patrick Lilly and Emmanuel Shemeza battled each other for the Vacant Australian Bantamweight title getting right into the action from the first round.  Shemeza easily outpointed Lilly in the first and second rounds with strong left jabs followed by rights to the head and avoiding any counter punches from Lilly.  Lilly commenced round three a bit stronger and managed to catch Shemeza with a few jabs to the head but slowed down in round four to give Shemeza the points.   Round five proved the end for Lilly who received several left and right blows to the head and hit the canvas.  Referee John Cauchi counted to eight and as Lilly was unfit to continue he waved the fight off.

Emmanuel Shemeza became the new Australian Bantamweight Champion adding this title to his previous wins of Australian Super Bantamweight and NSW Bantamweight championships.
