Both boxers looked very fit with Peters stepping down to Middleweight and commenced the contest fast and hard.
Peters soon had Beekin in trouble being the aggressor – while Beekin used the ring to avoid his opponent. Peters was too strong for him and had him on the canvas in round three. Beekin courageously survived the next two rounds and the referee stopped the fight in 2min.05sec of round 6 in Peters’ favour.
