TYRELL ADAMS VS SHAMAL RAM ANUJ
It was a capacity crowd at Richmond Race Club who cheered and welcomed the boxers into the ring.
There was not much action in the first round with both fighters checking each other out and protecting themselves and Adams getting a slight edge to win the first round. The first seven rounds were very similar as Adams used his jab to earn the points. Anuj had great difficulty landing any scoring punches due to Adams’ excellent defence. Adams increased the pressure in the final three rounds with left jabs to the head and right blows to the body. Anuj had no answer, continuously retreating, using the ring to avoid his opponent until the final bell.
It was a unanimous points decision with the judges awarding Adams every round making him the new ANBF Australian Featherweight Champion.
