Change to ANBF Rules (70 ) -5 Minimum Purse Payable

The current ANBF Rule 70 (5) reads “The minimum purse payable to an Australian champion when competing over 10 x 3 minute round shall be $3000.00.”

This rule has not changed for over 10 years and for some time has not been reflective of the minimum purse required to fight for an Australian title.

While the ANBF appreciates that this rule is rarely invoked, it is important that the rules are not misleading in this regard.

Consequently, from 15 March 2019 ANBF Rule 70 (5) will be changed to read as follows:

“The minimum purse payable to an Australian champion when competing over 10 x 3 minute rounds shall be $4,500.00.”

This change has been included in the ANBF Rules which are now dated 15 March 2019.  These rules are attached and will also be uploaded to the ANBF website.
