Victorian Joel Camilleri has defeated Billy Limov for the vacant National Super Welterweight Title at the home of boxing at the Melbourne Pavillion in Flemington. Limov in only his 6th professional fight, lasted only 5 rounds before the much more experienced Camilleri applied constant walk up pressure to eventually take the championship with a Doctor stoppage after the end of the Fifth Round. Limov taller and using his long range came out busy in the first round using his long left jab to keep Camilleri at bay, however in the end Camilleri’s relentless pressure could not be absorbed and he now reigns as the National Super Welterweight Champion
