Welterweight Title Vacant

On 28^th September 2018 the ANBF Men’s Welterweight champion Rivan Cesaire won the WBA Asia Welterweight title over Xingxin Yang in Changsha, China.

By the ANBF Rule 84 (1) the ANBF Men’s Welterweight title is declared vacant.

Accordingly under Rule 75 of the ANBF Rules & regulations, the “Registration of Interest Period” will commence on Monday 1^st October 2018 during which time interested promoters / managers may lodge a “Registrations of Interest” with the ANBF National Secretary of the boxer or boxers they wish to be considered to compete for the vacant Australian Welterweight Title.   The  Registration of Interest Period is 7 days meaning this will conclude on Sunday 7^th October 2018.

It is expected that any applications are provided with the knowledge and consent on the boxers nominated.

The ANBF cannot consider any application until the Registration of Interest Period has expired.
