This Bout was the only Professional Boxing Bout on a huge Card of Amateur Boxing League Bouts (25 in total) and was the Main Event of the evening.
The two combatants were Kaitlyn Lodge (66.4 Ks) v Katie McLaren (66.0 Ks)
The Bout was scheduled for 6 X 2 minute Rounds. From the first round both Boxers were into action and stood toe to toe without any let up. The one who was superior was Katie McLaren who landed more punches from either long range or in close.This did not deter Lodge who charged forward and made an exciting duel of the bout while she was cheered on by the many local supporters as she comes from this area.The action continued throughout the entire 6 Rounds of the Bout which had the big crowd cheering at high pitch. At the conclusion of the Bout McLaren was declared a majority points winner and New Australasian ANBF Female Welterweight Champion as well as the New ANBF NSW Female State Welterweight Champion. The large crowd applauded and congratulated McLaren who was extremely excited and and thanked her team very much, who was headed by former World Champion Jeff Fenech
