Both contestants appeared evenly matched, immediately exchanging good clean punches with Mazoudier earning the first round.
Champion and challenger both worked hard, Mazoudier attacking, Molinaro countering with head and body punches. Molinaro displayed his courage and determination belt came up short towards the end. A split decision by the judges awarded the victory to Mazoudier.
