28 March 2025: Men’s Australian Middleweight title and Men’s Australian Super-Middleweight title
On 28th March 2025 at the regional Entertainment Complex in Sale, Victoria, There were two Australian titles to head the boxing card. These were:
- For the Vacant Men’s Australian Middleweight title between Xavier Fletcher and Viliami Liavvav; and.
- For the Vacant Men’s Australian Super-Middleweight title between Max Reeves and Riley Cand
The first of these contests was the Men’s Australian Middleweight title. From the outset Xavier moved forward applying constant pressure though strong jabs and combinations. Viliami shows great fortitude to match Xavier but Xavier’s scoring and power eventually overwhelmed Viliami, with Xavier wining by TKO 2 minutes 32 seconds into round 3. The ANBF congratulates Xavier on becoming the Men’s Australian Middleweight champion and Viliami for his very determined performance.
The second and main event was the Men’s Australian Super-Middleweight title. From the outset, Max dominated the contest with clean power punching, with the referee stopping the contest 2minute 47 seconds into round 1. The agreed with a comment that whoever was in front of Max that night would be in trouble. Max made the comment that he felt much better at Super-Middleweight than his lats outing at Light-Heavyweight. The ANBF congratulates Max on becoming the Men’s Australian Super-Middleweight champion and Riley for his doing all he could to match it with Max.
