On 2 December 2023 at the melbourne Pavilion Thomas Fitzgerald met Jitti Thobwan for the Victoria Super Light lightweight title. As the supervisor it was evident how excited Thomas was to be competing for this title. The fight was principally a one sided affair with Thomas moving forward and outpunching Jitti. The fight ended in round 3 after Jiti was knocked down and the referee ended the fight. Thomas was thrilled and ecstatic to become the Victoria Super Light lightweight title and could be seen some time after the fight ended still wearing his new Victoria Title Belt.
