ANBF

Registration of Interest Super Bantamweight Title

On 7th May 2018 the Australian Super Bantamweight Champion Luke Boyd fought (and won) a World Boxing Foundation regional title.  The ANBF thanks Luke for his reign as the Australian Super Bantamweight Champion.

Consequently (and as per ANBF Rule 84 (1)) the ANBF has declared the men’s Australian Super Bantamweight title vacant.

Accordingly (as per ANBF Rule 75) the “Registration of Interest Period” will commence on Wednesday 11th July 2018 during which time interested promoters / managers may lodge a “Registrations of Interest” with the ANBF National Secretary of the boxer or boxers they wish to be considered to compete for the vacant Australian Super Bantamweight Title.  The  Registration of Interest Period is 7 days meaning that this will conclude on Tuesday 17th July 2018.

With the current rating having only two boxers in the Super Bantamweight division,  the ANBF will consider boxers from the featherweight and Bantamweight divisions.  The usual proviso is that the ANBF would need to be satisfied that weight would not present any issues before a bout is sanctioned.

It is expected that any applications are provided with the knowledge and consent of the boxers nominated.

Lodgement is to ANBF National Secretary Andrew Campbell via email acampbell@marsdenjacob.com.au  (i.e. reply to this email).

The ANBF cannot consider any applications until the Registration of Interest Period has expired.

Best regards

Andrew
